Solo Travel

Friday, 5 April 2019

If there was one piece of life advice I could give anyone, it would be to go on a SOLO adventure. It is simply the most rewarding thing you could do. I recently did a month of solo travelling around South East Asia - Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand to be exact. Don't get me wrong, it's not all smooth sailing! As a solo explorer you will experience both incredible and strange situations. Here are 6 of the main struggles I encountered over the month which I am sure my fellow solo travelers can relate to!

Mykonos, Greece

Saturday, 28 July 2018

It has been over two months since I went to the beautiful little island of Mykonos and I still find myself reminiscing about the gorgeous coast and evening sunsets. I remember seeing photos of Mykonos before I went and I thought to myself - 'it can't possibly look that beautiful!' I can now officially confirm, that it is actually THAT BEAUTIFUL!

Here’s some tips if you have a few days in Mykonos– enjoy!

Meet Me In Paradise: Cadaqúes

Thursday, 31 May 2018

Hello hello. Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week!

I am just back in France after spending a lovely week in Cadaqués in the north of Spain. When I look back at shots from this trip it still makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I keep remembering those sun-drenched days and endless hours of splashing in the sea like five year olds. Of course a new Tara Jarmon dress helps the situation also. I bought this stunning cobalt blue maxi in Ireland during the summer. Obviously with the unpredictable Irish summer that we had, I never actually got the chance to wear it. It was so perfect for Cadaqués though! Unfortunately, it was part of the summer collection so I haven't managed to find a link for it, but I  did find something similar on Asos which is equally as stunning and very reasonably priced. It is the exact same colouring and similar length. I will link it below along with all my other outfit details...

My Top 6 Latest Beauty Finds

Monday, 12 February 2018

Hello, Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. I was in Dublin for the weekend and really took advantage of my time off to explore this lovely city of ours. When I say 'explore' I literally mean we ate our way around, and I don't feel one bit guilty! One of my favorite restaurants from the weekend was Wuff in Stoneybatter. Would highly recommend for breakfast/brunch.

Anyhow, It feels like ages since I sat down to write a beauty post, so that's exactly what I am going to do today. I want to share some of my latest beauty finds that I am loving right now. I always love reading these kind of posts and discovering new great products, so I hope you will enjoy this one by moi.

The Trench (€19.99 - €129)

Thursday, 25 January 2018

Hello again, I hope you're week has been going well. I am back with another style post and this time it's all about the good old fashioned trench coat. I read recently that the trench coat dates back to the 1850's!!! So, its safe to say that the trench is here to stay and it is definitely a huge trend for this spring/summer.

It is finally time to say hello to a new season, which means new trends and the perfect excuse to SHOP. While its defiantly far too chilly to expose even the slightest bit of flesh, it is never too early to start shopping the new S/S trends...

New Years On The Slopes

Thursday, 4 January 2018

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Years. I haven't quite gotten back to reality yet. I still find myself being drawn to the ski slopes and whats left of the Christmas markets. I say it every year, but Christmas goes way too fast! Nevertheless, I am excited to get stuck into the new year and make the most of what comes my way. I have made some new years resolutions and a list of things I want to do and see in 2018. I love a good list, and this is certainly my favorite kind. When I set myself a challenge, I must admit, I am fairly good at sticking with it. I am not one to give up on it after a few weeks. Even though some of the challenges I have set myself this year are outside my comfort zone by miles, I am determined to push myself. There is a line Susan Jeffers book 'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway' that always comes back to me and it is so true. She says, 'pushing through fear is less frightening than living with the underlying fear that comes from a feeling of helplessness'. I live by this...

A Weekend In (Not So Sunny) San Sebastian

Sunday, 17 December 2017

Last weekend my boyfriend and I ventured down to San Sebastian. I have wanted to go there for quite some time now, so I have finally ticked it off my list places to visit. San Sebastian is absolutely beautiful! It did't really feel like being in Spain, it was more like being in Bordeaux or somewhere...

Morning Skincare Routine

Thursday, 14 December 2017

Hello and Merry Christmas!

It feels like ages since I sat down to write about all things beauty and skincare, so that's exactly what I am going to do today.

I'm always trying out new products, but after years of trial and error, I think I have finally found what works for me. I am no skincare expert, but just from my own experience, I have learned (the hard way) how important a good skincare routine is...
