Meet Me In Paradise: Cadaqúes

Thursday, 31 May 2018

Hello hello. Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week!

I am just back in France after spending a lovely week in Cadaqués in the north of Spain. When I look back at shots from this trip it still makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I keep remembering those sun-drenched days and endless hours of splashing in the sea like five year olds. Of course a new Tara Jarmon dress helps the situation also. I bought this stunning cobalt blue maxi in Ireland during the summer. Obviously with the unpredictable Irish summer that we had, I never actually got the chance to wear it. It was so perfect for Cadaqués though! Unfortunately, it was part of the summer collection so I haven't managed to find a link for it, but I  did find something similar on Asos which is equally as stunning and very reasonably priced. It is the exact same colouring and similar length. I will link it below along with all my other outfit details...

Cadaqués is a small seaside town on the Costa Brava. I was quite surprised by the untouched beauty and tranquillity of this little place. Normally when I think of the Costa Brava I immediately picture crowded streets and over-populated, touristy beaches.  But with just one road in and out of Cadaqués it defiantly feels a thousand miles away from everywhere. While Cadaqués is a remote part of the Costa Brava, there is still a nice summer buzz as you stroll through the narrow streets and along the stunning waterfront.

We returned from Lisbon on Sunday and on Monday morning we literally unpacked and packed our luggage to head off again. With a four hour car journey in 30 degrees of heat and no air-conditioning its safe to say we were all in need of some vitamin sea upon arrival! So we dropped our bags in the most stunning rented house in Cadaqués, just seconds walk from the sea. The house was so perfect, it had a very beachy, relaxed look which I loved. The décor was so nice, throughout the house you could find shells, drift wood or jars of sand just about anywhere. The ocean blue colours made us feel like we were constantly at sea. I have included some pics below.

A day didn't go by without swimming in the sea. We basically snorkelled our way around Cadaqués. When we weren't swimming we were roaming along the stunning coastline in search of the perfect diving points.  We discovered the most beautiful untouched beaches along the way. At night we would stroll through the quaint narrow streets and take in the summer vibes. Of course when you go on a trip with eight Frenchies the day cannot end without indulging in one or ten glasses of wine.

If you are looking for a short break away before summer ends (I know its September, but in my head its still summer!), I would definitely recommend keeping Cadaqués in mind. I enjoyed every second of my time there and am quite nostalgic that its all over already! Post-travel blues are real!

I hope you enjoyed todays little travel post. You can find all outfit details below.

Have a great week!
